Rolio is a social soccer game for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what information Rolio processes and the choices available to you.
Information we process
- Phone verification: When you sign in, your phone number is used to send a verification code. The verification challenge is stored temporarily and expires after about 10 minutes.
- Account information: We store your display name, an internal user identifier, an authentication-token digest, and a one-way SHA-256 hash derived from your normalized phone number.
- Contact discovery: If you grant Contacts permission, Rolio reads supported phone numbers on your device and sends one-way phone-number hashes to find people already using Rolio. Contact names remain on your device, and Rolio does not upload your address book or raw contact phone numbers.
- Connections and invites: We store connections you create. Invite records contain the inviter's user identifier and the recipient phone-number hash and expire after 7 days.
- Push notifications: If you enable notifications, we store your APNs device token, push environment, and notification preference so Rolio can deliver and stop notifications for this device.
- Game activity: We store the local calendar dates when you open a game, your current and longest streaks, your total play days, and the last game opened. Your device sends its IANA timezone so the service can determine the correct local day.
- Help and feedback: If you submit feedback, we store the category and message with your Rolio account identifier, app version, build number, platform, submission status, and timestamp so we can respond to support needs and improve Rolio.
- Technical information: Our hosting provider may process standard network information, such as IP address, request metadata, and security logs, to deliver and protect the service.
How we use information
We use this information only to verify accounts, provide contact matching and social features, deliver invites, operate the games, secure the service, troubleshoot problems, and comply with law. Rolio does not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising or tracking.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the Rolio service and processes requests on our behalf. Twilio processes phone numbers and SMS delivery information when sending verification codes. These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies while providing services to Rolio.
Retention and deletion
Verification challenges expire after about 10 minutes and invites expire after 7 days. Account, connection, and feedback information is retained while your account remains active or as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, secure, and comply with legal obligations. To request account and associated data deletion, email privacy@rolio.app from the phone number associated with your account or include enough information for us to verify the request.
Your choices
You can deny or revoke Contacts permission in iOS Settings. You can also stop using Rolio, remove locally stored app data by deleting the app, and request deletion of server-side account data by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal information.
Children
Rolio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to Rolio, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as Rolio changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date.
